Come Diwali, many people make money by manufacturing fireworks. However they take very limited or no precautions at all, which puts many lives in danger.
An explosion at Crackers godown near Vakatipa, MDO office, Kottapalli Mandal, East Godavari district resulted in death to 13 people. Eye witness say condition of few more is critical.
More than 30 workers were working at the time of accident. With many present during the explosion, loss of lives is more. Gory scenes were witnessed with many injured crying for help. Fire is flaring up and many locals are lending helping hand in the rescue operations.
Locals say explosion sound was heard 10 km away also. Injured people are shifted to Kakinada hospital. AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu expressed his shock at the accident and offered condolences to the families. He directed fire department to put down the fire immediately.
