The floods have created havoc in Jammu & Kashmir state and many lost their lives while other left homeless in this natural calamity . There are allegations over the Central water commission ' s lethargy in warning the J& K . The Central Water Commission has warned the souther states of India on 6th of September but failed to do so with Jammu & Kashmir and the many power projects in Chinab basin also added to this unparalleled floods in Kashmir .
