A newly married couple (played by Shivaji and Kainaaz Motiwala) plan a one week honeymoon in their farmhouse. It doesn't take much time for them to realize about the presence of some evil spirits in the place. What was supposed to be a romantic day-out turns into a scary-experience! The rest of the tale is about how they managed to stay together despite facing life-threatening issues.
Artistes Performance:
Shivaji: Playing the role of present day youth, This Middle Aged Hero tried his best to look as young as possible. He gave a honest performance.
Kainaz Motiwala: She plays a role which offers scope for looking glamorous yet scare the audience at times. Its her oozing oomph which earns her brownie points rather than performance in scary scenes.
Rest of the actors including Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore, Thagubothu Ramesh, Chitram Seenu and Jabardasth Team have been adequate.
Plus Points:
- Kainaz Motiwala's glamour
- Twists & Turns
- Presence of Finest Comedians
Minus Points:
- Lack of Hilarious & Nail-Biting Moments
- Slow Pace
Technical Departments:
Revan Yadu, a protege of Gunasekar, attempted horror comedy for his directorial debut. The story runs in the same format that was used for the films alike 'Avunu' and recently released 'Geethanjali'. He, however, failed to produce either rib-tickling entertainment or spine-chilling scary moments.
Sekhar Chandra's Music is fine and Background Score is in sync with theme of the movie. Cinematography is decent. Editing is poor. Production Values are just okay.
Usually, 'Horror Comedies' work only when comedy & scary scenes are blended perfectly. Making things worse, 'Boochamma Boochodu' fails in both these aspects. The best part of this flick is its low production cost. Shivaji is on verge of adding yet another film in his successive flops chart.
Verdict: Not Worth Your Time & Money!
