Police attack media persons outside Rampal's ashram, Hisar

police personnel on duty outside godman Rampal's ashram at Barwala town in Haryana attacked media persons destroying some of their equipment in the process. The media persons were targeted suddenly while they were covering a violent clash between the sect followers and security forces. The journalists were attacked on their hands and legs. "The police did not want the clash to be filmed. They broke cameras and other equipment. Journalists were chased into the fields and beaten up. No medical help was provided to them," a journalist said.
