It was an emotional moment and happy moments for Narendra Modi's family as they witnessed him taking the oath of Prime Minister post in the swearing in ceremony at Rasthrapati Bhavan where President Pranab administered the oath of Narendra Modi. The mother of Heeraben Modi, and other family members saw the ceremony at their residence in Gandhinagar in TV and became emotional.
Modi's mother stays with his elder brother Soma, a retired health department official who now runs an old-age home in Ahmedabad. Modi's younger brothers, Prahlad, who owns a shop in Ahmedabad, and Pankaj, a clerk in the information department of the Gujarat government in Gandhinagar, also watched the ceremony on television. Modi sought his mother's blessings after the Lok Sabha election results and before he left for Delhi for the swearing-in ceremony.(IANS)
