The polavaram is creating rift between the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states and the war of words took place between the two designate Chief Ministers of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states . Chandrababu Naidu stated that KCR is politicising the Polavaram project and KCR clarified that he is not opposing the utilisation of the water which is going waste in to the sea but only opposing the design and stated that the whole of Telangana is opposing the inclusion of seven Mandals in AP through ordinance .
