The newly carved out Telangana state has begun its maiden Assembly session on Monday. Telangana Rashtra Samiti(TRS) party has a strength of 63 in the 119-member Assembly. Protem Speaker K Jana Reddy, who took the oath as Protem Speaker is administering the oaths of newly elected legislative members. The newly-elected legislators took oath on the first day. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao(KCR) was the first to take oath followed by ministers. It is to be mentioned that Telangana came into existence as the 29th state on June 2.
