The politics are revolving around the Visakhapatnam airport as the politicians are trying to shift the Visakha airport to their Districts . The present airport is adjacent to Navy's INS Dega and the navy which objected to an international airport over security reasons has finally given its positive nod. There are efforts going on to shift this to Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram District or Nakkapally in Visakhapatnam District and a team from Airport Authority of India came and inspected these places .
