A 100 year old US woman, Rupee Holt is going to celebrate her 101 birthday next month. Ruby Holt, who has in the course of her 100 years of life has seen two world wars, a Great Depression and 17 presidents had never seen the ocean, or a beach all her life. That changed earlier this week when she finally managed to get to the beach and walk on the sand for the first time in her life. She won the 'Wish of a Lifetime' contest which enabled her to fulfill her dream of seeing a beach.
