As announced by him a day before, Telangana Chief Minister KCR has handed over a cheque of Rs. 1 crore to ace tennis player of Hyderabad Sania Mirza. KCR had said that he is proud of Sania Mirza as she belongs to Telangana. He said the financial assistance is towards helping her to get better training for the ensuing US Open. KCR had also announced her as the brand ambassador of Telangana. Other officials of the Telangana government were also present on the occasion.
