Martuhi has penned the script for this film besides presenting it. Sumanth Ashwin, who made an impression with Antaku Mundu Aa Tarvatha is the hero and Nanditha, who scored a hit with Prema Katha Chitram is the heroine.

Story:

Siddhu (Sumanth Ashwin) who is a big time flirt faces rejection from his teenage lovers Geetha (Tejaswi Madivada) and Soumya (Shamili) only because of Chitra Balasubrahmanyam (Nanditha) who hates love. After few years, Suresh (Sai) falls in love with Chitra's friend Soumya (Chandini) and Siddhu tries to make it work. In the process, Siddhu falls head over heels for Chitra. The rest of the story is about  how the love blossomed between two contract characters.

Artists Performance:

Sumanth Ashwin: After proving his mettle with 'Anthaku Mundhu Aa Tharuvatha', Everyone expected him to get better with each and every film. Sadly, He ended up as a total failure in 'Lovers'. Be it performance or dances, he isn't up to the mark in this romantic entertainer.

Nanditha: Doing a performance-oriented role yet again, She did complete justice to it and also looks gorgeous in few scenes.

Sapthagiri: He steals the show. If not for his comedy track, This film could have bitten dust for sure.

Rest of the cast including Tejaswi Madivada, Shamili, Chandini, MS Narayana, Ahuti Prasad and Sai have be adequate.

Plus Points:

- Comedy
- Music
- Cinematography
- Second Half

Minus Points:

- Sumanth Ashwin
- Story
- First Half

Analysis:

Debutante Director Harinath seems to be having potential to make it big if he had a good script in hand. There is nothing new in the Story of 'Lovers' and even Maruthi's screenplay & dialogues weren't up to his standards. Music by JB is an asset, but wrong placement of songs has played the spoilsport. Cinematography by Mahar Bhatt is praise worthy. Editing could have been more crisp. Production values are decent.

Trimming the First Half to at least 15 minutes would have improved the movie watching experience. After a slow-paced first half, Sapthagiri produce some hilarious moments in second half to make this film an enjoyable fare to some extent.

At Box Office, 'Lovers' might do a decent business initially because of the long Independence Day weekend. Will that be enough to make it successful?

Verdict: Watch it for Sapthagiri's comedy!
