TS govt begins 'Mission Kakatiya'

Telangana government had conducted an awareness meeting on restoration of lakes. Lakes were once the source of livelihood for many people. Even in the absence of rains also , people used lakes for carrying out their daily activities. But at present, the plight of lakes has deteriorated as many of them have dried and the rest have been encroached by land sharks. So, Telangana government, under the initiative of irrigation minister Harish Rao, had conducted a meeting on 'Mission Kakatiya' in Mahabubnagar district on Thursday to create awareness on restoration of lakes in the state.
