Death toll in Chennai building collapse raises to 47

Death toll in Chennai building accident is raising day by day. So far, 47 bodies were recovered. Another 27 survivors are getting treatment for injuries in various hospitals. Out of the 47 victims, who died, 13 were from Andhra Pradesh. In the survivors also, 11 are from AP. Rescue operations are still going on. Officials feel that some more bodies may be there in the rubble. NDRF and Fire Department personnel are taking part in rescue operations. Andhra Pradesh Minister Achcham Naidu, Nellore district collector Rekha Rani visited the accident spot and supervised the rescue operations. Six persons were arrested in this connection and sent to Vellore jail. All the victims were construction workers. The incident occured 4days ago, on 28th of June.
