Tension situation prevailed in Bobbili Municipal Office today, during the election of Chairman. There is a total of 30 wards in Bobbili municipality. TDP has 15, YSRCP has 13 and Congress has 2 counselors. TDP candidate Achyuthavalli got elected as Chairman. Trouble started when Parvathi, councillor from YSR Congress supported TDP in the election. YSRCP councillors and woman activists attacked the woman councillor. She got injured in the scuffle ensued. Police registered a case. YSRCP councillors boycotted the election. Telugu Desam bagged all the four municipalities, Saluru, Parvathipuram, Bobbili and Vijayanagaram, in the district.
