Tamil Nadu tense after Jayalalitha's conviction

The Bangalore special court has pronounced Tamilnadu Chief minister Jayalalithaa guilty of amassing illegal assets to the tune of 66 crores. This has questioned the political future of Jayalalithaa as she has been remanded to judicial custody and she is forced to quit her chief minister post. On the other hand, the AIADMK cadre gripped in shock. In Tamil Nadu, as a means of protest against it, the supporters of Jayalalithaath have staged intense protests which have turned violent.
