It is to be mentioned that 24 Andhra Pradesh Engineering students who visited Kulu, Manali in Himachal Pradesh as a part of industrial tour have lost their lives. It is aleged that the dam officials have released the dam water without giving any warnings. Within no time, the students were washed away by the strong current waves of Beas river.
