Hyderabad may soon boast of the WI-FI facility if the efforts by the newly formed Telangana government fructify. Discussions are going on whether the facility can be free of cost to people. Telangana IT minister KTR has directed IT department officials to prepare report on the pros and cons of the project. As of now, the state has 3G facilities. And Reliance is bringing 4G network services to the city by this December. BSNL and Airtel are also showing interest. First, the Wi-Fi will be implemented as a pilot project in some areas. Bengaluru has the credit of being the first Wi-Fi city in the country.
