In the past Vijayawada was the headquarters of Telugu cinema industry even though the shootings were in Chennai . Distributors , Financiers etc all of them used to have the offices and run their operations from Vijayawada and the talk of a new film in Vijayawada would be considered as universal . The star heroes , actors and producers used to frequently visit Vijayawada till the time the industry is shifted to Hyderabad .
