Chennai building designed by fake architect: Council

It is revealed from a letter by the Council of Architects to the Tamil Nadu government, that the architect of 11-floor building which collapsed leading to death of 29 construction workers, is not a qualified architect in the first place. The Council's letter faulted the State Government for giving him license as a qualified architect to Vijay Barkota. Th Council demanded punitive action on Vijay Barkota. The building which collapsed, was under construction and half of the 72 construction workers from AP. Th Coucil questioned the Chennai Metro Development Authority on what basis he was given license to offer architectural services.
