High Court relief to Nagarjuna in N Convention Centre case

Tollywood star Nagarjuna has got a reprieve from the GHMC notice on 'N' Convention centre at Khanamet, after the state High court issued stay on further action by GHMC and posted the matter for hearing on Tuesday. GHMC and Telangana Irrigation officials have found encroachment into the Tammidikunta lake adjoining the N Convention Centre and red marked the building for further action. Nagarjuna filed a lunch motion petition aggrieved by this. In his petition, Nagarujuna said he had bought the land from its rightful owners in 1992 and built the compound wall with HUDA permission. He took a license from GHMC for building a function hall, for which he is paying property tax since then and has an application for regularization of the land pending before the GHMC. Nagarjuna further pointed out that the GHMC has acted without giving a notice to him.
