In a new twist, it is found that Red Sanders smugglers have been taking the help of RTC drivers in the illegal transportation of the forest wealth. AP police has put a check on illegal smuggling of Red Sanders to Chennai. So far, they have arrested more than 100 notable smugglers and workers involved in smuggling of the rare commodity. The police, after intensifying vigilance operations on road and rail routes, has found that APSRTC drivers have been helping the smugglers in smuggling Red Sanders for monetary benefit. 11 APSRTC drivers have been arrested so far for the crime.
